Frigidaire Parts |
|
Frigidaire parts are an interesting
topic, because of their availability if only in physical form. Let me explain.
Frigidaire is a quality provider of kitchen appliances. One of the best honestly.
When an individual goes refrigerator shopping Frigidaire is almost surely in their
mind because it is a name brand that just sticks and always has. However, the
company seems to be behind the curve when it comes to the availability of replacement
Frigidaire parts. They are available in stores but online they have a significant
disadvantage as they do not have an online store on the website themselves. Physically speaking there are many parts providers, as opposed to Dacor who doesn't even have that. It seems almost every kitchen appliance store has at least all, if not the ability to order, the replacement Frigidaire parts you could want. Also, the locations spread as far as the eye can see. Comparatively we can probably blame this on the popularity of the brand. They are the first choice among consumers many times only because of the name. Because they are good? Well they are, but its probably because they have "frig-" in their name to be completely honest. However, as I said before, they are certainly behind the curve when it comes to other appliance providers. Many of its competitors have their own online stores from which aspiring appliance repairmen can buy replacement parts for their products. Frigidaire parts are strangely absent from the website. They provide only a parts provider locator, much like Dacor. Companies like Sears and Amana have very helpful online stores, which could be attributed to a lot of reasons probably. One would think that Frigidaire parts would be available online due to the popularity of the brand and the amount of time that Frigidaire has been around. But one may be able to accredit this to the specialization of Frigidaire. Sears has experience in many other markets besides appliances and they have their own stores. Making them much more capable to sustain something like an online order and delivery service for products. Amana is specialized but they cater much more to do-it-yourselfers it seems judging from their many customization options and add-on features. Also the way they are not carried suggests that they are catering to the online market and were designed for that reason. Frigidaire is missing out on a big market by not making Frigidaire parts available. Of course you could find your Frigidaire parts in the appliance store down the street, but the name of the game these days is convenience and competition is high. So for all you couch repairmen, the Frigidaire parts are out there you just might have to get in your car to go get them. Frigidaire would be wise though to tap into this market, being one the mainstays of kitchen appliances, I would suspect they will have an online replacement part store very soon or expect them to start losing much of their business to online savvy appliance brands. |
